Mike Magan is a Senior International Political and Media Consultant at Media Intelligence Partners, a communications, business and public policy advisory firm with a global reach. The London-based practice offers a wide range of services including, communications training, media strategies in the UK and international markets, political campaign strategies, strategic advise on commercial opportunities and challenges in developing markets, and geopolitical analysis.
Prior to moving to London, Mike served in senior foreign policy positions in the Bush Administration. These included, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Relief, Stabilization, and Development in the National Security Council at the White House, as well as senior positions in the Department of Labor and the U.S. Agency for International Development. Mike also spent five years as a Congressional staff member and held senior positions with the United States Chamber of Commerce and the International Republican Institute.
Mike has 20 years’ experience with the inner workings of both Washington D.C. and international affairs at the highest levels. Particular areas of expertise include Latin America and the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, parts of Asia, the United Kingdom and Continental Europe. His combined private sector and senior government experience enables him to provide top quality strategic advice to major corporations, multi-lateral institutions, international organizations, investment funds, and governments.
Before joining Media Intelligence Partners, Mike was one of the principal architects in establishing one of London’s newest foreign and economic policy think tanks, the Legatum Institute.
A fluent Spanish speaker, his skills include both U.S. and international campaign experience where he has lead or been a part of election processes in the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
