Robert is an accomplished entrepreneur and media commentator.
After spotting a niche in the market at university, Robert dreamt up smallcarBIGCITY and is now the Managing Director.
SmallcarBIGCITY is one of London’s leading tour companies that offer unique sightseeing tours of the capital with a twist – they only use a fleet of vintage Mini Coopers.
It has been voted one of the best attractions in London on the independent review website TripAdvisior, and voted New Business of The Year 2010 by St Albans Chamber of Commerce.
The company gained significant government support from the Prime Minister at the launch of Start-up Britain in April 2011 and Robert is now heavily involved with the Start-Up Britain Campaign.
He is also a Make Your Mark Ambassador. Make Your Mark is part of Enterprise UK, chaired by entrepreneur Peter Jones.
Having grown smallcarBIGCITY during the worst economic climate of the last sixty years, Robert is perfectly placed to provide a firsthand account of the advantages and disadvantages that face entrepreneurs launching start-ups during tough economic times.
Robert is an experienced media commentator on business, enterprise, tourism and the importance of SMEs to drive economic growth.
