Daniel Hamilton

Political commentator with encyclopaedic knowledge of politics

Daniel Hamilton is the Director of European Affairs at Bell Pottinger, and the Former Director of Big Brother Watch, a civil liberties think tank which works to combat state intrusion and protect personal privacy.

Daniel is an experienced commentator on civil liberties, human rights issues and international politics.

To name a few, he has appeared on the Today Programme, Fox News, CNN, Al Jazeera, BBC, ITV and Sky.

Before Big Brother Watch, Daniel served as Head of European Insight at the leading opinion polling and political research firm ComRes. 

He worked in both Westminster and the European Parliament and was praised in the Total Politics Guide to the 2010 General Election for his "remarkable... encyclopaedic knowledge" of British politics. 

He was Al Jazeera’s political commentator on the evening of the 2010 British election, broadcasting continuously for over ten hours.

In February 2011, he led the first delegation of young political activists to Kosovo since the end of the 1999 conflict.
